Wrong conda-hook.ps1 path and the output in the terminal will be refreshed

Behaviour

1. conda use wrong conda-hook.ps1. I use miniforge3 and then if i dont set the conda path in the settings, then it just use a wrong path like this

2. click run python button top right, the outputs in terminal will be refreshed

Steps to reproduce:

wrong conda-hook.ps1 issue

1. Install miniforge3 and do not add PATH environment
2. conda init powershell
3. install vscode python extension and dont change anything
4. open a terminal

outputs are refreshed issue

1. click the button
2. the outputs show up in the terminal then refreshed

After recent update, I also faced the same problem. ".... conda-hook.ps1 cannot be loaded because running scripts is disabled on this system....". I solved the problem by running the command in PowerShell as administrator :

Set-ExecutionPolicy RemoteSigned

I think this problem might have to do with the Python Environment extension. I uninstalled the extension and this problem disappeared.

Does this exist in your directory? D:\softwares\miniforge3\Library\shell\condabin\conda-hook.ps1

Hello everyone- thank you for the comments. I have reviewed with my coworkers and have a few items.

The new environments extension attempts to be hands off with Conda, where we just make everything that would work in a normal terminal work in vscode. This may be a different experience that what the python extension used to have but leads to much more success for managing environments. This being said, all terminal actions that work outside of vs code (in a fresh terminal) should work then inside so if you can give the commands that are attempting to be run a try outside vs code and see then this will give you a better sense.

Therefore when trying to run a file, attempt the same outside vs code and confirm it does the expected behavior. If so, send over your path variables to me for both in and outside vs code so I can compare and get to the bottom of why we aren't mirroring that external behavior of conda.

I really appreciate your help as we try and get this extension working for people and find the bugs, thanks for engaging on this issue and I hope you can give the above steps a try and let me know.

I am using Anaconda instead of miniforge on Win11.

However, I have collided with the same problem.

I finally found conda-hook.ps1 in "Anaconda/shell/condabin/", but the environment extension tries to search it in "Anaconda/Library/shell/condabin/".

So, I guess it's a path error.

if i run the code by just typing python train.py in the terminal then the output is normal, it wont be refreshed whatever im using the vscode inside terminal or use the outside terminal.
but if i click the run button top right like the gif shows, then the output of my code will be refreshed.

All these issues are gone when i uninstall the Python Environment extension
